Tuesday Youth Club

About this Project

Tuesday Youth Club is a recurring, centre-based open-access provision delivered by Alford House every Tuesday. It offers a safe, welcoming environment where young people can drop in, spend time with friends, and take part in positive activities at their own pace.

The club is designed to support young people to socialise, build confidence, and develop a sense of belonging within their community. By creating a relaxed and inclusive space, it helps reduce isolation and gives young people the chance to connect with trusted adults and peers in a supportive setting.

Young people attending Tuesday Youth Club can enjoy a variety of engaging informal opportunities that encourage personal growth, communication, and teamwork. The open-access model means that participants can choose how they get involved, making the provision flexible and responsive to individual needs and interests.

Staff and volunteers provide friendly guidance and positive support throughout the session, helping young people feel valued, listened to, and respected. The project also offers opportunities for young people to access information, advice, and encouragement when needed.

Tuesday Youth Club plays an important role in promoting wellbeing, confidence, and positive relationships. It provides a consistent and reliable space each Tuesday where young people can relax, have fun, and make constructive use of their free time.
